Quiet Is The New Loud

A Dapt

I just made a trip back to my “old” flat. It was a very weird feeling, stepping through the door and suddenly realising that my worldly belongings do not only consist of the 2 luggages I’ve been living out of for the past 2 months. I’m pretty sure that the breakup has contributed to some degree of dissociation from the place. The place is full of my things, but yet it still feels a little colder. It’s not a bad thing, but a fact I cannot deny. A change of scenery has been very welcome thus far. So, no regrets re: my decision to move out. Looking forward, in general. I guess my friend was right, people are more adaptable than one thinks.

From S5 E14’s lovely closing montage – except for the bit with 13 and Foreman in bed, talk about zero chemistry:

[Morning: Taub sitting in armchair in their bedroom, contemplating something]

Taub’s wife: Do you think you can ever be happy without a baby?

Taub: I don’t know.
But I know I can never be happy without you.

[Taub's wife climbs out of bed and lies with him on the couch]

Make what you will of this, but I just thought it was very sweet.

Fruitful fruit

Had a ridiculously fruitful Saturday with Wein and SH.

  1. Got my hair cut
  2. Brunch at Hediard
  3. Chilled out at PS Cafe, Palais Renaissance after
  4. Shopped at Far East (when did the clothes at Far East get so nice? I bought a dress, for work)
  5. Watched The Extraordinary V Conference (V for… vajayjay; Some skits funnier than others, I enjoyed Guan Yin Ma and Mas Selamat skits the best)
  6. Had dinner at Tomo izakaya in Clarke Quay (never going back again, good jazzy live band but bad bad food)
  7. Caught The Time Traveller’s Wife (Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams looked lovely but message was not as strong as in Benjamin Button imho)
  8. And then </3

All in a Saturday’s work!

Hooked on The Fray’s Never Say Never. However the lead singer mumbles so do you actually hear what he is singing about?

A million pieces.

I guess you were right.

It may not be the first thing I think about every morning, but it almost always is the last thing I think about before I go to bed every night, regardless of how good or bad a day I’ve just had.

Oldies but goodies.

It’s a lovely feeling when you meet up with old friends and you realise you’ve grown together and not apart. And despite all the different directions our lives are pulling us in, fundamentally we still click :)

Bouf

I think Etsy has lots of amazing stuff, but Bouf is like the furniture/homeware version of Etsy which means it’s AMAY-JING and and also tends to be several times more expensive.
