A Lack of Color.

The weekend in Bath was good. It was great hanging out with my sister again, it feels like it’s been awhile since we’ve done this. I also learnt (unsuccessfully) how to play poker, they’re quite in love with the game.
Bath provided a nice breather from being in the city.. It actually felt like autumn, because [...]

Well, I’m a free thinker, and the melody to this song is
quite poor, but these lyrics still struck a chord.
Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I’m alive
These are the moments I’ll remember all my life
- “I Could Not [...]

Nowhere else but here.

Stick your hands inside my pockets
Keep them warm while I’m still here
Happy birthday, S.
Thank you for a weekend of simple, precious pleasures.
On another note, I’ve realised, with some guilt, that I have more boarding-pass stubs than I do movie-ticket stubs in the past 2 years. What does that say? Sheesh.

Today’s Menu.

12pm: Indomie with 2 frankfurters.
5.30pm: Hailey’s pasta in miso soup with broccoli (yum) x 2 servings
(She’s been cooking a lot lately. “Is she trying to win ‘Chef of the Year’ or something?” asks Jin.)
8pm: 2 small pancakes with honey
11.40pm: 2 eggs, scrambled
Well, I sort of had breakfast for supper. Did I mention that living with [...]

Looking out my window in the evening, while talking to S. That’s Bedford Row, which consists mainly of what looks like law offices – it makes sense because we’re near the Inns of Court. School is 8 minutes walk, beyond this leafy road, which I took for the first time today.

I’m thinking it’s a sign
that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and
when we kiss they’re perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
that God himself did make us into corresponding shapes
like puzzle pieces from the clay
And true, it may seem like a stretch
but it’s thoughts like this that catch my troubled head
when you’re away and [...]

Flat 7.

I came home from dinner and walked by the pigeon holes at the entrance of the building, where our mail is put. We positively have the nicest in-pigeon-hole-decoration in the building! I HAD to take a photo of this because it was so cute. Whichever dear flattie did this – plus 100 points!
I’m [...]

Thankful.

The flight was relatively painless. Perhaps it is possible to get used to 13-hour flights? Having 3 seats to yourself definitely helps. Oh, and I got to sit in Business Class for about 30 minutes before landing, so that I could disembark with Victor (whose fathers’ miles ensure he travels in comfort). But also because [...]

Come sit with me in Seat 48H.

I checked into my flight last night. Yeah, you can actually check-in 2 whole days before you fly. So here we are again, at the tail-end of another sojourn in the motherland. As tradition dictates, I leave with a mandatory heavy heart.
Because I’m trying to delay the act of packing, let’s take you through it, [...]

New Beginnings.

Welcome. I’m officially cheating on blogspot now. -says in a small voice- But this new one looks so spiffy. And wordpress has so many cool features.
Yeah, they all have their excuses, don’t they.
